Depth Data
The german chart includes spot soundings extracted from https://gdi.bsh.de/de/feed/Elevation-Bathymetry.xml which is from 2018 and was last updated 2023-05! This is experimental, data can be wrong or missing. Spot soundings and contour lines are from different datasets, so they may mismatch in certain areas.
Data Sources
The charts provided by this project are based on data by
Raw Data
Raw data files are available here. They can be used in QGIS to render your own charts or to investigate or play with dat data. The QGIS file used in this project can be found on GitHub.

OsmAnd
Vector Charts
Vector charts and styles for OsmAnd can be installed by simply opening the obf
or xml
file with the OsmAnd app, it will automatically import the file and use it as part of the "offline vector chart". (also see usage)

* QMAP DE
The QMAP DE vector chart contains navaids, rocks and other point like objects. It is meant to be used instead of the OSM data, not in combination with it. If you activate both, you will get duplicate objects, which can be confusing.
Rendering Style
The vector chart will not be rendered properly without the marine rendering style and render engine 2 (OpenGL)!
Raster Charts
The charts are imported by opening the sqlitedb
files with the app. (also see usage)

Tip
Select sqlitedb
as storage format. This will store the tiles more efficiently into a single database file.
AvNav
Raster Charts
AvNav uses raster charts in form of GEMF files, but it also supports mbtiles
, just not on Android. Simply drop the files into AvNav's charts
folder.

Vector Charts
The S57 files can be used with the Ocharts(NG) plugin, they work with OpenCPN as well.
QMAP NL
The buoys and beacons in QMAP-NL vector chart are those from the original ENC and not from the separate dataset. The scale/usage band of the chart was adjusted to display properly in AvNav, it does not work out of the box when converting the charts with OpenCPN.
OpenCPN
OpenCPN and other applications can display raster charts from mbtiles
.

- Vector Charts: see above
Info
OpenCPN does not support WebP, so there are separate mbtiles
files containing png tiles.
JOSM
The raster charts can be added to JOSM as imagery layers.

You may also want to add this extra mapcss
(as last entry) for improved rendering of seamarks.

Garmin
There is experimental support for Garmin devices. The file contains depth data and buoys/beacons only, it may be combined with data from bbbike. You may need to enable spot soundings and marine colors in the map settings.
